The Curriculum
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION
What exactly is an acupoint? And how about meridians? What is Qi? How does acupressure work!? In section one, you will learn the answers to these questions and more. We dive deep into the theory of acupressure and how it works. We look at acupressure through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as modern science.
CHAPTER 2 THE TECHNIQUES
Acupressure is so much more than just pressing on a point! In this section, we learn how to perform 17 different acupressure techniques. We take time and learn exact hand positions and body mechanics for each of the 17 different acupressure and meridian massage techniques.
CHAPTER 3/4 THE POINTS
Region by region we make our way through the entire body learning specific acupoints and how to apply the techniques from Chapter 2 to each of the points. Starting at the head and face, we work all the way down to the feet.
CHAPTER 5 TREATING COMMON ISSUES
In this section of the course, we discuss common dysfunctions and how to treat them using specific acupoints and techniques. We learn how to help with migraines by working on the hand, back pain by working on the leg and much more!
CHAPTER 6 HOMECARE
The difference between helping someone feel better and helping them heal is found in homecare. In this section, you will learn simple homecare routines to help your client stretch and strengthen muscles, as well as lifestyle modifications to help create lasting change.

In this course you will learn how to apply accupressure in your practice to treatm some of the most common issues we see in pratice such as headaches, joint pain, beck pain and more!
THE 12 MERIDIANS
What exactly is a meridian anyways?! The ancient doctors of China discovered that there are pathways throughout the body in which energy travels. They called this energy Qi. Our modern understanding of the myofascial system compliments this ancient system and, together, they offer an enriched way of understanding the body.
HOW TO ASSESS FOR PAIN
"You should never try and treat a problem unless you know what the problem is!" This is something Dr. Jess teaches all of his students. In Acupressure and Meridian Massage, you will learn how to perform a simple assessment to help you identify the problem and track your client's progress.
HOMECARE ROUTINES
One of the most important things we can do to help our clients create a lasting improvement to their problems is to give them homecare. Unfortunately, this is neglected more often than not. Hi, I'm Dr. Jess Reynolds, and I'm excited to be your instructor for this course. As a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturist and massage therapist, I've spent years perfecting my craft and learning how to help my clients achieve optimal health and wellness.
